The spatial data served in this clearinghouse is accompanied by metadata that complies with the Federal Geographic Data Committee standards. A wide range of programs and services is provided for children ages 5 to 21 with special educational needs. The primary purpose of special education is to ensure that exceptional children develop mentally, physically, socially and emotionally. Every school in the district provides special education services through resource rooms as well as regular classrooms. Some schools also have districtwide programs. Who We Are The Parent Education Network is a statewide project that serves the families of all children. We provide parents of infants, toddlers, and school age children with information to help them influence positively the social, emotional, and academic growth of their children.
History The Parent Education Network (PEN) began as a parent training and information project proposed by the statewide parents organization, Parents Helping Parents of Wyoming, Inc. (PHP). PHP began as a coalition of families with children who have disabilities and has expanded to include all children.
