The Collected Writings of Melissa Mullek
Who in the World is Melissa Mullek? Melissa is a product of her environment, small southern town, devout Catholic parents, the same classmates from first grade to graduation. But Melissa is far from small town southern belle. She looks at the world through cynical eyes and sees beauty in the oddest places. Twenty-nine years old, mother of a smart alec eight-year old, still a child herself in many ways. What an opportunity. Take a look at her world. Swim in the local springs, stalk imaginary Indians on game paths through cool stands of sweet gum and poplar. Survive the state psychiatric hospital, restraints, fellow patients. Melissa is only twenty-nine, but it is a full twenty-nine years with more experiences than most people will every explore. The memoirs are real, as far as her perceptions go. Living and Dying is completely fiction and a work in progress. The other things are simply things as she sees them, saw them. I cannot tell you who Melissa Mullek is. I can only let you in on the products of Melissa Mullek. Decide for yourself. Honestly. She won't mind.

General Guidance
These basic principles provide general guidance that can help grantseekers increase their chances for a successful application with any foundation. Establish Your Objectives Research Potential Funders Verify Available Funding Review Successful Applications ... Keep Your Chin Up Establish Your Objectives Successful grantseekers realize that having a clear vision of measurable objectives is essential to achieving conceptual goals. It is important to know how your objectives and goals fit in with the philosophy and mission of your particular agency. Establish tangible, concrete objectives before starting any grant application process. Make sure your objectives are realistic and can be achieved within a specified timeframe. Identify as many details as you can about your overall goals. Prepare a five-year plan to document your strategy for reaching those goals. This will help you articulate your specific needs. Grantseekers commonly make the mistake of planning for only the immediate future (or not planning at all).

An introduction to the life and writings of Willa Cather
I am very happy to display this award, so feel free to click on the link! Willa Cather is one of the most interesting women writers in American literary history. Both a teacher, a journalist and a critic as well as a writer, Cather plays an important part in the shaping of American modernist thought and writings. Her fiction is unique in its powerful representation of setting and character and rich in its language and imagery. Her style of writing is condensed and subtle, but nonetheless tremendously expressive - precisely as the quote at the top of this This website is an attempt to give a comprehensive introduction to Cather's life and work. Aside from an introduction to the body of work, it includes a short biography, an extensive bibliography, an overview of the general themes, concerns and ideas in Cather's work, as well as a number of links to other useful Cather-sites on the Internet. Goodbye, Mr. Reagan
I know your life
On earth was troubled
And only you could know the pain
You weren't afraid to face the devil
You were no stranger to the rain
Go rest high on that mountain
Son, your work on earth is done
Go to heaven a shoutin'
Love for the Father and the Son
Oh, how we cried the day you left us
We gathered round your grave to grieve I wish I could see the angels faces When they hear your sweet voice sing Go rest high on that mountain Son, your work on earth is done Go to heaven a shoutin' Love for the Father and the Son Vince Gill Posted by Tom @ 7:16 AM Permalink

Why are we still there?
Every day there are news reports about more deaths. Every night on TV there are photos of death and destruction. Why are we still there? We occupied this land, which we had to take by force, but it causes us nothing but trouble. Why are we still there? Many of our children go there and never come back. Why are we still there?

197. Cry Freedom!
Writings from a young homosexual guy in south australia, about gay life in general.
http://www.geocities.com/cry_freedom2003
CRY FREEDOM Hi, welcome to my site. I chose the name 'Cry Freedom' because as a gay guy, that's something I hope to be able to do someday.
To tell you something about myself, I'm 18, I live in Adelaide, South Australia, I'm Christian and I'm Gay. When I was younger, I got very depressed and worried because I not only had the secular world saying negative things about homosexuality, I also had the Christian world's theology in regard to homosexuality, which seems somewhat sus to me now, but was terrifying at the time. It was basically a very painful time, but I was lucky enough to realise that it's ok to be gay, lesbian, straight or whatever fairly young.
Ever since, I've ached for those who still torment themselves with their sexuality. To that end, I've compiled a whole heap of information about the issue. If you're struggling about whether homosexuality is right or wrong, wondering about coming out, or anything else along those lines, I encourage you to take a look around the site, there's a lot of good stuff here. I'll also be doing an online journal and whatever else comes to mind in the future, maybe even a webcomic, so please book mark me and come back every 2-3 minutes!
I had to axe the guestbook because none of the entries were going through, but drop me an email at
