I got ready, then nagged at my mom to hurry up so we could get there early. By the time we arrived, I was about the second person there. I talked to the guy who ran the store, and he found my registration card. He also fixed my gun, and then let me take a tour of the field. I noticed most of it is woods, but its got some really neat features, such as: a plywood city, a lagoon, a tent, a huge trailor-park base, and much more. Eventually more people started to show up, and get ready. I prepped all my stuff, then went to the meeting. They basically went through basic rules and instructions on the game. We were given a half hour deadline until the game started. I got my medic band, 4 + 1 pack, headband, mask, and gun on. Just before the game-on horn, I got out onto the field, with the team following me. Finally, the horn sounded! The East (Red Team), our team, split up into two, half taking the lower valley (the light part on the bottom of the map) while my half took the ridge (dark part of map). The enemy forces were scattered really far apart, so all our guys could focus easily on the outnumbered enemies. We made a really quick push, taking flag stations as we went! The enemy lines crumbled before us. | |
