The Boulder Junction Public Library serves a year-round community of approximately 1,000 people and a summer community of nearly 10,000. Nestled in the Lakeland regions of Northern Wisconsin, Boulder Junction caters to visitors from literally, all over the world. In keeping with its mission "to serve as an informational, cultural and educational center of the community ", the library offers a variety of books, periodicals, videos, audio-books and other materials of interest to the wide range of interests represented by its patrons. The library also offers four computer workstations equipped with word processing, spreadsheet and Internet capabilities. Remodeled in 1990, the library is airy and bright. A reading area invites patrons to enjoy a quiet moment with a book or magazine. The success of the Boulder Junction Public Library rests largely on two groups: the Friends of the Library, which provides financial support; and the volunteers who give time to the day-to-day operations of the library. Without these dynamic groups of people and their dedication to a quality facility and program, there would be no library.
