Wildlife Habitat Incentives Program
The Wildlife Habitat Incentives Program (WHIP) is a voluntary program for people who want to develop and improve wildlife habitat primarily on private land. Through WHIP USDA's Natural Resources Conservation Service provides both technical assistance and up to 75 percent cost-share assistance to establish and improve fish and wildlife habitat. WHIP agreements between NRCS and the participant generally last from 5 to 10 years from the date the agreement is signed. WHIP has proven to be a highly effective and widely accepted program across the country. By targeting wildlife habitat projects on all lands and aquatic areas, WHIP provides assistance to conservation minded landowners who are unable to meet the specific eligibility requirements of other USDA conservation programs. The Farm Security and Rural Investment Act of 2002 reauthorized WHIP as a voluntary approach to improving wildlife habitat in our Nation. Program administration of WHIP is provided under the Natural Resources Conservation Service.

Special Appearances WE want to welcome you to our website home, the home of Moose Peterson and Wildlife Research Photography. We started this website 9 years ago for one very simplistic reason, to furnish wildlife photographers with as much information as we can provide so you can make the most of your photographic pursuits. Much has changed over those nine years besides just the website design! I was shooting with the F4e when I first launched the site. The F5 came along and the website exploded with content. Now, it's all digital and I love it! The digital information on our website is not your normal digital content. Curves, pixels, test patterns and the like won't be found on moose395.net. The reason, while I need to know that trivia, I'm a photographer and all of my tests derive from real world situtations. My results then are 100% baised by the person behind the camera. The information I have on the website are user reports. I highly recommend you read them carefully AFTER you've looked at the images (with a calibrated monitor) and think it all through to get the most of all that's available here.

information on native plant, bird, butterfly and wildlife gardening in Florida.
http://www.nsis.org/garden/garden-native-wildlife.html
Wildlife Gardening Gardening for wildlife is simple if you're aware of what wildlife is in your area and what their needs are. You may wish to attract wildlife to feed in your yard or go further and provide a diverse habitat. Wildlife habitat necessities
Cover
Plants provide wildlife with protection from weather and predators as well as a place to rest, eat, and raise young. Often plants also provide food, and some will collect rain water for drinking, too.
Food
All wildlife feed on plants or other animals. Ideally, the diversity of plants in the yard will provide year-round food.
Water
Fresh drinking water is essential for wildlife. Some animals need bodies of water for egg laying and early development and some live partially or entirely in water. Ponds are gaining in popularity, but simply placing a birdbath or large plant saucer filled with fresh water will supply the needs of a wide variety of wildlife.

missionoriented research and management policies of the Canadian wildlife Serviceand gain access to a broader base of scientific information for government
http://www.sfu.ca/biology/wildberg/genlinfo.html
What is the CWE? Mission Statement General Information People ... Links Background
In 1993, a collaboration by the Canadian Wildlife Service (CWS), the Natural Science and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and Simon Fraser University was initiated to provide an interface between the mission-oriented research and management policies of the Canadian Wildlife Service and the more theoretical approach to research of the university community. By encouraging this interface, the government agencies would gain access to a broader base of scientific information for government policy and decision making and university researchers would benefit from a broader practical application for the more theoretical ideas which their disciplines generate.
The focal point of this collaboration is the NSERC/CWS Chair of Wildlife Ecology, currently held by Fred Cooke . The Chair brings together a large group of faculty, postdoctoral and gradute-student researchers, working together on several new studies of wildlife ecology, with specializations in behavioural, population and physiological ecology. The main centre of Chair activities is in the Department of Biological Sciences For annual reports of CWE research and activities
