http://ihea.com
Welcome to IHEA.COM Quick Links: About IHEA Contact IHEA Hunter Education Video Series Site Map State / Provincial Info Instructor Resources IHEA is the official organization representing the interests of 69 state, provincial, and federal hunter education coordinators, and 70,000 hunter education instructors who teach hunter safety, ethics, and conservation to approximately 750,000 students each year.
State fish and game agencies began offering hunter safety programs in 1949. Since then, more than 35 million people have been certified. The hunter safety program has grown, and it is now known as the Hunter Education Program. Hunter safety is still a primary concern, but hunter ethics, wildlife management, survival, and other topics are important parts of the course as well.
Hunter education has helped in many ways. Hunting accidents have declined dramatically, hunter behavior has improved, and many species of wildlife have been restored to abundance with hunter's dollars.
If you are a new hunter, or want to learn about firearms and gun safety, you have come to the right site. IHEA member agencies also offer programs for experienced hunters who want to become more proficient hunters and conservationists.
IHEA is a non-profit 501c3 organization and is affiliated with the International Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies (IAFWA).

Sorry, your browser doesn't support Java(tm). Teach English to teens and young adults in school classrooms, or care for infants in a "special needs" ward in this old-world Eastern European country. You don't need special skills to teach conversational English skills, or to nurture a disabled or abandoned baby. No matter the circumstances of their birth, infants, toddlers and teens understand the nurturing touch and kind words of a caring adult. Deserving children in our Romanian host communities eagerly await your help today. "We thank you for all you have done ... The children live because the volunteers keep coming." ~ Dr. Delia Asoltanei, Tutova Hospital Romania Volunteer Program Dates Romania Volunteer Work Projects Nothing says "love" like a child's smile! In Tutova, you can help feed and care for babies who arrive at the "failure-to-thrive ward" shortly after birth. Each day, volunteers stimulate, love and nurture them in a way a parent would. Just playing with these children will make a huge difference in their lives. And you will benefit from the healing smiles and warm hugs of your small charges. Physicians can also be helpful, but note: flexibility is key, as equipment and medicine are scarce throughout this country.

In the early 1990s some students who wanted a break from study approached a geography lecturer about travelling and working in Eastern Europe. Not finding any opportunities for this kind of travel combined with work experience, the lecturer set about arranging for his students to go and teach English in Moldova, where he knew some fellow academics. This was how our company began in 1992.
Throughout the year we hold a number of open days, giving you the chance to come along and find out more about spending time as a volunteer on one of our programmes. It's an opportunity to meet our staff, as well as some volunteers who have recently returned from overseas, and to talk face to face about being a volunteer with us.
