Read her report BAHAMAS Winter Distribution and Ecology of Kirtland’s Warbler Location: Tarpum Bay, Eleuthera, Bahamas. Project: The objective of the project is to describe the winter ecology, resources, and habitat of the Kirtland’s Warbler and associated migrant and resident species. A Goal is to determine what makes the Eleuthera site so attractive to wintering Kirtland’s Warblers and associated species so that we can identify other such sites. In addition, we wish to understand those factors which produce these sites or habitats. To accomplish these goals we will conduct bird surveys, band, map distribution, and record movement of birds, monitor behavior, and collect data on insect and fruit resources. The selected volunteer will assist and work under the direction of the Project Manager and be working with field assistants from the College of Bahamas. When: 1 January–15 April.
