CLASS OF 2004 TO CULMINATE ITS MAIMONIDES SCHOOL EXPERIENCE Maimonides School’s 52nd graduating class will culminate its high school career with commencement ceremonies Sunday, June 13, beginning at 10:30 p.m. in Judge J. John Fox Gymnasium. The Hebrew valedictory will be delivered by Danielle Charlap, daughter of Dr. Steven and Yael Charlap of Newton. Replacing the English valedictorian is a student speaker chosen from seniors who submitted proposed topics to a panel of faculty and student representatives. Chosen was Daniel Malkin, son of Alexander and Ruth Malkin of Waltham. The change was implemented by a study committee "to make the ceremonies that symbolize the school more meaningful to students, teachers and families," according to Upper School Principal Rabbi Mark Gottlieb. Other top scholars will read excerpts from the works of the Rambam. Honored this year will be Zehava Bloomberg, daughter of Rabbi Jon and Miriam Bloomberg of Brighton, Jamie Chiel, daughter of Jonathan and Judith Chiel of Newton, and Meira Salzberg, daughter of Michael and Sara Salzberg of Brighton. SENIORS CELEBRATE ACHIEVEMENTS AT RECOGNITION NIGHT Members of Maimonides School’s Class of 2004 gathered with their teachers and families in Saval Auditorium June 10 and celebrated their achievements during Senior Recognition Night ceremonies.
