  • The Census Bureau collects data about the people, businesses, and the economy of the U.S. and produces a wide variety of statistical data products in print and electronic format. Key information about the economy is readily available from Latest Economic Indicators , containing the full-text of all Census news releases beginning in 1994, and from Housing and Household Economic Statistics . The 1995 through 1997 versions of the popular Statistical Abstract of the United States are available in PDF format. Another widely used series is Current Industrial Reports , which presents timely data on the production, inventories, and orders for 4,400 products, representing 30 percent of all U.S. manufacturing.
