Cybergeography We used to live in a local world that was divided into geographically demarcated units, like home, office, street, cafe, train, rugby field, or dancing. The internet age seems to have blurred any geographical structure. Yet, the virtual reality of the internet has its own particular geography. It is a geography which is built out of networks and nodes which transport information flows which are created and controlled on special locations. Cyberspace as such is no tangible space, but the information processes which constitute this space are embedded in the local world with brick-and-mortar rooms and hard-wired computers. The information space of the internet is constituted by connections between computers and networks of computers. So internet is not a monolytic or placeless 'cyberspace', but rather a series of new technologies that are used by millions of people on different places of the local world. The technical geography refers to the telecommunications infrastructure of the internet, the connections between the computers that organize internet traffic (routers), and the distribution of the internet's broad bandwidth. Through a myriad of possible routes every node of the network is connected to every other node. The USA used to play a central role in the connections between the countries. The technical structure of the internet was highly concentrated round the USA, but this hegemony has been diminished by the emergence of new powerful nodes (hubs and routers) in other areas of the world, particularly in Europe. The strategic differences between the countries are declining. The highly USA-concentrated structure of the technical geography is gradually replaced by a technical dependency between the metropoles of the world.

Our best source for inspiration is the gaming group, The Waloonga Headhunters, that we very rarely play with. It forces us to put down our ideas on paper and in as all of us now are over 30 and we tend to have families and live spread across the country, we don't rely too heavily on regular gaming. This is another reason for putting together this homepage. We want this to be a living campaign, where we can come together and share out thoughts on the ongoing campaign. Please see the Forum for further details. We also have a gaming group in Uppsala, with 8 people in total - this campaign is referred to as "A New Beginning". However, as a visitor, we hope that you find this page not only inspiring, but captivating and that you continue to come back for more. Please feel free to send links to friends to make this page a popular one. This novel about wealth, power, sex and drugs, will keep you in stitches."

    Lawton - Ft Sill Chamber
Lawton - Ft Sill.... An overview of the Lawton-Ft. Sill Community
Lawton was founded on August 6, 1901, when the Kiowa-Comanche reservation was opened for white settlement. A lottery was used to distribute the land, meaning a person wanting a claim-which was 160 acres in the new section-had to register for a drawing. The town site was selected by federal authorities and located on a section of prairie south of Fort Sill, which had been in existence since the 1860's. General Henry W. Lawton is the town's namesake. Today, Lawton is the third largest city in the state. Lawton serves as the prominent shopping, medical, recreational, educational and religious center for the region. It is the retail and distribution center for the area's cattle, dairy and agricultural industries. In addition, Lawton is the home of manufacturing and processing companies and is continually working toward expansion of existing industries and acquisition of new ones. Fort Sill was founded in 1869 by Major Philip Sheridan. At the beginning of the twentieth century, it seemed that the post would be abandoned following the demise of other U.S. Army installations in Oklahoma. However, American leaders decided in 1911 to utilize the post as an artillery training facility. Since that time, it has remained an artillery center. Present day troop strength is approximately 18,830 with civilian employees numbering about 7,500. Annual military and civilian payroll totals more than $171 million.
