Partner no. 6 100% RE Communities INTEGRATION of RES in the revitalisation of European cities: "EU competition for bioclimatic urban redevelopment" Partner no. 6 Integration of RE in the revitalisation of the Innenstadt-Muerzufer" urban area in Kapfenberg Download version The municipality of Kapfenberg is located in the northeastern part of the Federal State of Steiermark, a central and well-developed location, not only in Austria, but also inside Europe. Specialisation in the steel industry has led to relatively secure employment a stable or even growing population. The importance of Kapfenberg as a regional centre is also reinforced by its technical college, which offers an excellent education. An attractive inner city with a large number of shops, cultural events and leisure activities in combination with a varied supply of housing facilities would be necessary to encourage people to live in the city centre and so to minimise the general trend toward sub-urbanisation.

Comprehensive_Biblio.htmlTEXTBlWd.® <ü¯]a¯]‘ʁ±7 RESEARCH UPDATE: WHAT I'VE BEEN UP TO J. Walden February 1997 TASK:
METHOD:
Extensive searches utilizing Boolean variables, since 'West Philadelphia' does not exist as a category for most record banks. Best way to proceed is therefore by searching for Philadelphia-related records and 'weeding' them or by conducting combined-keyword searches. Search terms used include 'urban', 'ethnography', 'social welfare', 'anthropology', 'neighborhoods', 'housing', 'economic', 'populations', 'demographics', 'mapping' and 'maps', 'photographs; etc.
Record searching is sometimes conducted in person, at archive, or 'virtually' by running search from offsite computer. Records are culled, sorted, and either printed out via library or records archive computer or are either downloaded or individually copied and pasted onto computer into Word. Records are then formatted (to cut down on space) and printed out.
PROGRESS:
  • Urban Studies Department , UPenn. Bibliographies of all their student papers (on file in their reading room) and bibliographies of all the books in their library.
