Founded in 1964
by Abdus Salam (Nobel Laureate), the abdus salam ictp operates under the aegis of two United Nations Agencies: UNESCO and IAEA and is regularised by a seat agreement with the Government of Italy which provides the major part of the Centre's funding. One of the main aims of the abdus salam ictp is to foster the growth of advanced studies and research in the developing countries.

    Introduction
DAMTP was founded in 1959 by George Batchelor . He was succeeded by Keith Moffatt in 1983, and then by David Crighton in 1991 (a few CDs of the David Crighton Memorial Concert are still available ). The current Head of the Department, since 2000, is Professor Timothy J. Pedley DAMTP is one of the two constituent Departments of the Faculty of Mathematics , the other being the (DPMMS), within which is located the Statistical Laboratory . The two departments are now based in a new facility, the Centre for Mathematical Sciences (CMS) , on the same site as the Isaac Newton Institute for Mathematical Sciences . From the theory of quantum critical points and the physics of nanodevices to the phase transitions of vortices in a Bose-Einstein condensate the research has common threads of correlation, disorder and topology. 10. Quantum And Braided Spin
The modern KaluzaKlein theories of unification of gauge fields and gravitation, the theories of grand unification and, more recently, superfield, super-string, membrane and conformal field theories have enhanced the role of the geometry of multidimensional spaces in fundamental theoretical physics. An analagous quantum geometry is explored in these online lectures.

Founded by Hideki Yukawa in 1946
PROGRESS OF THEORETICAL PHYSICS is a monthly journal which contains academic research papers on theoretical physics. It was founded by Hideki YUKAWA in 1946. Now it is published for the Yukawa Institute for Theoretical Physics and the Physical Society of Japan . This journal publishes mainly the submitted and refereed original papers in all fields of theoretical physics such as particle physics, field theory, nuclear physics, condensed matter physics, statistical physics, astrophysics and cosmology. Each issue contains Papers and Letters, and , sometimes, Invited Papers. Besides the monthly issues, PROGRESS OF THEORETICAL PHYSICS SUPPLEMENT is published approximately quarterly. Each issue contains either long original or review papers or a collection of papers on some specified topics.
Moreover, earlier papers will be added on PTP Online.
Papers cited in the bibliographies of PTP papers can be accessed through a link function provided with PTP Online.
