Dinnington Youth Theatre was formed in June 2001 by Projects in Theatre Skills. The aim of the theatre is to provide a venue to enable young people to take part in performing arts through a series of workshops and performances. Funding for the theatre came from RMBC Crime Reduction Programme. This money paid for rehearsal facilities for the group, as well as money to pay for their first two productions.
Since it's formation the Youth Theatre have produced three shows in their own right, and supported the Dinnington Comprehensive School in their Lower School Production of Evacuees. We have just finnished our lastest show - Angus, Thongs and Full Frontal Snogging. For more details click here.

ign Language interpreters are gaining popularity in theatres from Broadway to Boise. With the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act, along with increased sensitivity to Sign Language and the Deaf community, theatre producers and venues throughout the country find themselves exploring the opportunity to reach out to a new audience via interpreted performances. Unfortunately, interpreters who are experienced in performance interpreting are few and far between. In addition, most production staff have a limited understanding of the variety of issues associated with the provision of quality interpreted performance. It is hoped that this Web site will serve as a resource for both novice and experienced interpreters, as well as for theatre staff wanting to learn about sign language interpreted performance. For the Interpreter and For the Theatre are good places to start.
Getting ready for a performance of your own? Fill out our form , and we'll make sure to include it in our list of interpreted performances. Better yet, send us a photo, and we'll be happy to feature you on the site.
