Increasing student success by integrating mobile technology in the classroom
Through this technology collaboration initiative, HP hopes to give student teachers and practicing teachers more training and hands-on experience in the effective use of technology in the classroom, using mobile, one-to-one computing tools. Another goal is to give students the opportunity to benefit from the presence and use of a wireless mobile classroom in their schools. The program also includes funding for research to help teachers, schools of education, k-12 schools and HP gain insight into ways to effectively use technology in a classroom setting.
Current investments
HP has awarded HP Wireless Mobile Classrooms and related services to the following 10 K-12 schools currently in partnerships with university Schools of Education:

Community Outreach and Education Program (COEP)
Overview
The goal of this COEP is to conduct an ongoing communication between these two realities, a dialogue between the people of southeast Texas and cutting edge environmental science—and create innovative programs that translate our research as the programs come into being through this genuine community and environmental science dialogue. Quite literally, the center thinks of this COEP as an ongoing Town Meeting in Environmental Health and encourage the community to think of COEP's resources as continually in service to them. Virtually all the programs this COEP has to offer came into being from specific community requests and from the ongoing dialogue that COEP fosters.
As such, the COEP has evolved into a wide-ranging, multi-faceted organization that focuses on four general areas: Environmental Arts and Sciences K-12 Schools; Asthma Outreach and Education; Public Forum and Toxic Assistance; and Theatre Outreach and Education.
