This program identifies the neuro-biological influences on a child’s development and recommends interventions and treatments. Patients are generally referred to this program from other physicians, usually hematologists/oncologists, neurologists, psychiatrists, endocrinologists and pediatricians. A clinical child neuropsychologist evaluates the child to identify their cognitive and emotional strengths and weaknesses. The relationship between the child’s brain activity and behavior is measured through standard psychometric tests and other assessment techniques. The neuropsychologist then interprets the information and develops recommendations relevant to the child’s home, school and community.
