Texas ROPER was created to bring cohesion to the field of parent education in Texas. Parent educators are currently found in a variety of professions including medicine, social work, mental health, law enforcement, child care, and education. Texas ROPER includes an online database that registers parent educators from across Texas and provides them with newsletters, training, and a website, (www.unt.edu/cpe). The website includes links to research, organizations, a calendar of conferences, job opportunities, a forum for questions and ideas, newsletters, and resources for parents. The searchable database can be used by parents, agencies,
