June 10, 2004 Home AmCham and the Taiwan Government Sat June 12, 2004 Introduction The American Chamber of Commerce in Taipei has the opportunity, the resources and the influence to play an increasingly pro-active role in Taiwan's internationalization and liberalization process, and to provide professional advice and recommendations to the Executive Yuan and the Legislative Yuan in the drafting of laws. The role of the Government Analysis Department is provide lobbying support to the membership through the Chamber's 23 Industry and Support Committees on legislative, regulatory, and enforcement issues. This assistance includes:
    • Attending committee meetings and keeping abreast of government-related issues and laws of concern to members.
    • Publishing analytical reports and summaries of key legislation and regulatory change (available to members in hardcopy, by email, and on the website).
