For the next 25 years the two women used Rome as a base for a series of pilgrimages, including one to Jerusalem. They each had to fend off the unwanted advances of local men, including young lords; during one of these, a wild hind came to Catherine's defense, chasing off the troublesome, would-be suitor.
When Bridget died, Catherine took her body back to Sweden , burying it at the convent of the Order of the Holy Savior Bridgettines ) at Vadstena Catherine became superior of the order, and served as abbess . Lars-Ove Börjesson
Born in Borlänge on 18th July 1953. Originally self-taught as a composer, he studied privately with Miklós Maros between 1976 and 1979. Börjesson has had practical experience as a percussionist and teaches music in Borlänge.
Most of Börjesson's works are characterized by alternation between free notation and exactly noted episodes. He uses a wide variety of orchestral combinations, as for example in the piece Mue-zan for alto flute, clarinet, bass clarinet, trumpet, horn, tuba and cello (1982) or Vojago for vocalizing soprano, harp, clarinet, bassoon, marimba/vibes and violin, viola and cello. Energetic, sometimes playful rhythms are one of the hallmarks of Börjesson's music. His more recent works include Koveser which is exactly noted throughout and is a setting for tenor and string orchestra of poems by Anders Westerlund (from a collection with the same title as the composition). Martin takes charge in Sweden
Story Tools KARLSTAD, Sweden (Reuters) Estonian Markko Martin led the Swedish Rally to take charge of an event previously won only by Finns and Swedes. The Ford driver seized the lead on the third Granberget stage, the longest of the rally, after a power steering failure slowed former champion Marcus Gronholm's bid for a fourth win in five years. Martin was fastest again on the fourth stage, a second run through the 52km Granberget, to end the day 23.3 seconds clear of Citroen's Sebastien Loeb. Frenchman Loeb, the championship leader, was still fighting hard, winning Friday's final 1.86km Hagfors sprint. Peugeot's Gronholm had made a quick start, winning the first stage in his new 307 car and leading Spain's Carlos Sainz by 3.3 seconds after the second, but the steering problem cost him almost a minute. "We lost the power steering and it was quite difficult to drive," the Finn told the official WRC Web site. "I tried for a while to go as fast as possible but it was dangerous. You could not let it (the car) go sideways."

St. Bridget of Sweden
(Also Birgitta). The most celebrated saint of the Northern kingdoms, born about 1303; died 23 July, 1373. Early Life She was the daughter of Birger Persson, governor and provincial judge ( Lagman ) of Uppland, and of Ingeborg Bengtsdotter. Her father was one of the wealthiest landholders of the country, and, like her mother, distinguished by deep piety. St. Ingrid, whose death had occurred about twenty years before Bridget's birth, was a near relative of the family. Birger's daughter received a careful religious training, and from her seventh year showed signs of extraordinary religious impressions and illuminations. To her education, and particularly to the influence of an aunt who took the place of Bridget's mother after the latter's death (c. 1315), she owed that unswerving strength of will which later distinguished her. Marriage In 1316, at the age of thirteen, she was united in marriage to Ulf Gudmarsson, who was then eighteen. She acquired great influence over her noble and pious husband, and the happy marriage was blessed with eight children, among them St. Catherine of Sweden.
