SRED 106 SUBSTITUTE TEACHER TRAINING INSTITUTE
OCC's Faculty Development Institute (FDI), in cooperation with the school districts in Ocean County, offers a 20-hour training seminar to prepare and certify substitute teachers, as well as to offer a refresher in-service program for substitute teachers currently employed by local school districts.
*To qualify to become a substitute teacher, candidates must attain a minimum of 60 college credits (official transcript), successfully undergo a criminal background check, provide evidence of a negative Mantoux test, and submit appropriate applications to the State of New Jersey.
** Please purchase book ($21.50) at OCC Bookstore prior to first session.
Cost for Each Section : ** $150 tuition (includes tuition/fee: $145; materials: $5) In addition, $75 state application fee, $78 background check, $1 Mantoux test fee are required, plus book.
