New Study Looks at Patient-Delivered Partner Therapy for Chlamydia Despite improvements in testing and treatment for urogenital chlamydia trachomatis infection (CT), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates four million new cases occur in the U.S. each year. In Los Angeles County, the STD Program (STDP) documented 35,500 cases of Chlamydia in 2002, of which 25,691 were female.
