About climbing in Malta Introductory sessions Guided climbing excursions Rock climbing courses ... Contact us Malta is the ideal place for rock climbing. Smack in the middle of the blue Mediterranean Sea, just 60 miles south of Sicily, Malta has it all - sun, sea, sand and yep, even rock! Rock climbing in Malta is possible the whole year through, due to mild weather during the non summer months. There are over 1,200 rock climbing routes in all the three islands of Malta, Gozo and Comino (Malta is an archipelago). All this in just a span of 315 square kilometers (122 sq. miles). So one is really spoilt for choice! And there is plenty of virgin rock still waiting to be conquered. So if you`re in Malta on business, on a conference, studying or simply on holiday, or you actually live here, why not spend a day or two on Maltese rock? Or you might want to make a rock climbing holiday out of it, or combine it with what the rest of wonderful Malta has to offer. Whether you`re a complete beginner at rock climbing, or if you have only climbed indoors, or you would like to improve your rock skills, or you are an expert rock athlete, Malta has the quality and grade of climbable rock for everyone! Greenbrier River Outdoor Adventures
A Difference in Programming
During the past twelve years of offering adventure programs for youth we have continually sought to foster an environment where no stone is left unturned in the quest for the ultimate summer experience. With adventure programming at the core of everything we do we have created unique summer programs, which benefit from our spectacular 250-acre base camp (we call it Adventure Village ). With the national forest as our next-door neighbor we take great pride in our location that allows us the opportunity to offer memorable experiences in some of the most pristine wilderness areas on the east coast.
Unlike adventure programs that use the base camp almost exclusively as a departure point, our Adventure Village is the core of the camping operation. There you will find our indoor dining hall serving nutritious meals; cabins and platform tents; modern wash facilities for a hot shower at the end of the day; recreational and training facilities such as our climbing wall and bike shop; office; infirmary; equipment storage; and more. We find our combination of a solid adventure program with a base camp focus greatly enhances a camper's overall experience.
