Who We Are Head Injury Rehabilitation and Referral Services, Inc. (HIRRS) is a not for profit agency located in Rockville, MD. The agency serves individuals with neurological impairments, specializing in those with brain injury. Following acute care in a hospital setting, individuals are often expected to return to his or her previous lif estyle, work, or school. However, due to the long-term effects of their injury, such a return is not always possible. In such cases HIRRS works with individuals to take advantage of previously learned skills, rehabilitate areas affected by injury or train new skills and abilities so that the person is successful in their community. HIRRS is a not for profit 501(c)(3) agency which is overseen by a board of directors. The board is composed of professionals in the community with an interest in brain injury. HIRRS currently serves approximately 45 individuals in its outpatient day treatment programs, 15 individuals in supported living programs, 20 individuals living in their own homes, and 15 individuals through the vocational support program. Who We Serve Neurological impairment or brain injury can result from a variety of incidents such as automobile accid ents, falls, strokes, tumors or disease. In considering admissions, HIRRS reviews the individual's capacity to benefit from services. In most circumstances individuals admitted to HIRRS are adolescents or adults, are medically stable and are capable of attending a community based program. In some cases, HIRRS is able to serve individuals who have not had a documented brain injury, but would benefit from the services the agency provides. HIRRS reviews each case in order to determine the services that will best serve the individual. HIRRS also assists individuals in determining and locating funding sources, if necessary. HIRRS serves individuals in Maryland, DC, and VA. The agency is located close to public transportation including the Rockville Metro station. Other transportation arrangements are also available.

New England Wildlife Center is a native wildlife preservation and educational organization located in Hingham, Massachusetts, USA. We provide rehabilitation animal habitat and environmental protection, affording humane care to native and naturalized wild animals through our wildlife medicine hospital.
New England Wildlife Center is a nonprofit, humane, educational organization incorporated in Massachusetts.
Our humane wildlife rehabilitation hospital and education center is staffed with licensed veterinarians and certified veterinary technicians who care for sick, injured and orphaned native animals. All activities in the hospital serve an educational function.
We care for 225 naturalized and native animal species of New England. Our goal is to provide care for sick, injured and orphaned wild animals to enable them to become healthy, self-reliant members of the native habitat. Undergraduate, graduate and high school students participate directly in this veterinary medicine care practice so that they may become familiar with the species, the medical terminology and skills that are employed in caring for these disenfranchised patients.
All species receive humane care and rehabilitation without bias. Each patient case is a learning laboratory whether it is a naturalized starling or a threatened pied-billed grebe. Our goals are to better understand the interactions between mankind, wildlife and their native habitat and to provide basic and sophisticated information to elementary, higher education students, professionals and the public.

How much you sweat does not necessarily reflect how hard you're working. Some people tend to sweat profusely due to heavy body weight, poor conditioning, or heredity. And everyone sweats more in hot, dry weather or dense clothing than in cool, humid weather or porous clothing. (You may feel as if you're sweating more in humid weather; but that's because moist air slows the evaporation of sweat). Gauge your workouts by how HARD you are working; not how much you are sweating! Home Online Store Contact Us

Drug addicts, alcoholics, prescription drug abusers and opiate addicts all wreak havoc on their own lives and the lives of their loved ones. The most important thing to remember is that drug addiction treatment and recovery is possible. Treatment at a drug treatment center is the first step for many people suffering from alcohol and prescription drug dependency. At Recovery First, Inc., we specialize in treatment for people who abuse any drug: alcohol, oxycontin, vicodin, benzodiazepines, cocaine, heroin, marijuana, ecstasy, percocet, xanax or any other mood or mind altering chemical. We can hep with oxycontin detox and alcohol detox Florida .We feel that in the substance abuse treatment field, the patient's needs and recovery are pushed into the background. We bring the needs of the individual into the forefront, with a strong commitment to individualized, group, and spiritual attention. No longer do individuals seeking recovery have to settle for less in an overcrowded treatment center, where they may be just another face in the crowd. Alcoholism and drug addiction are diseases from which there is no known cure. At Recovery First we focus on arresting the disease and putting recovery into the lives of each of our patients.
