General Tips
Facial Masks
Clays can be used by themselves or with added ingredients as facial masks. If you are just using clay, you would mix it half and half with the liquid of your choice. Each clay has different properties which you may want to take into consideration when you are creating your masks. French Green Clay, like the Moroccan Red, is efficient at drawing oils from the skin. Use this clay for oily skin. Kaolin Clay (or China clay or white clay) is one of the mildest of all clays and can be used on even the most sensitive skin, and because it doesn't draw oils from the skin it can be used on the driest skin types. This is clay is also used in face and linen powder. Pink clay is mild clay that can be used everyday without drying skin.
If you will be selling your products and you want to keep as natural as possible you should just sell the dry clay with instructions, otherwise if you add your moisture to your clay you will have to use an acceptable preservative, which means a synthetic preservative.
You can use these liquids for normal to dry skin:
distilled, spring, or mineral water

    Introduction
The Glish Command-Line Interface (CLI) in AIPS++ is a very powerful and flexible environment for data manipulation and analysis. In addition to providing a concise means of access to and operation of the standard astronomy reduction tools in AIPS++ an impressive array of generic tools are available. One of the greatest strengths of AIPS++ is the ability to combine standard astronomy reductions with ad hoc analyses devised by individual users. Owing to this exceptional flexibility, and a tendency among users to document standard reduction sequences as glish scripts, a tremendous wealth of user-designed Glish scripts exists all over the world. As glish scripts are the language of AIPS++ it is therefore desirable to collect useful recipes in one place where than can be used as written, or as practical examples from which unique data analysis tools can be easily developed by users. Site put out by Rhema. Includes nutritional data of various insects, a few recipes and a lot of general information.
    http://members.aol.com/keninga/insects.htm
HOW TO USE INSECTS AS FOOD
Insects are being eaten in most of the world. Archaeological evidence tells us that entomophagy has been practiced since mankind first made an appearance on this planet. It would appear that all levels of society consumed various insects and today they remain an important food source in many parts of the world. Insects are important to Australian aborigines, as well as African, Middle Eastern and Asian populations. Filipino farmers flood their fields to capture mole crickets that are sold to restaurants while the Thais eat crickets, grasshoppers, beetle larvae and dragonflies. During the Pacific war prisoners supplemented their diets with insects. Aztecs favored the corn ear caterpillars while in China, bee larvae is eaten raw or fried. Of course for the average person, a good steak and a salad would be your first choice but during uncertain times, it is always good to have alternatives such as insects. Insects are low in carbohydrates, high in protein along with fat and calories which are needed in a survival situation. For example, crickets and grasshoppers have approximately 24 percent protein. Grasshoppers have 200 calories per 100 grams (approximately 900 calories per pound - some studies show up to 1,200 calories per pound) with 7-9 percent fat comparing to steak at 250 calories per 100 grams. Also crickets have amino acids required in the human diet. Beef provides 200-300 calories per 100 grams with 18 percent protein and 18 percent fat.

The "fresh-water lobsters" of Missouri streams have as much flavor and nutrition as their sea-going cousins.
by Kathy Love Conservationist Staff Crayfish, crawfish, crawdad they all mean good eating to adventuresome outdoor gourmets. Crayfish are first cousins to the highest of American haute cuisine, the lobster. Prepared in a similar manner, and in as wide a range of dishesfrom Cajun to Yankeecrayfish can be substituted for lobster in many recipes. Nutritionally, they contain the same amount of protein as their sea-going cousin, and more phosphorous than any other fish flesh. Since a large part of the diet of crayfish consists of carrion and vegetable manner, it is essential that crawdads caught for human consumption come from pollution-free water. There are over 500 species of crayfish worldwide, ranging in size from the American dwarf crayfish, found in Missouri, which grows only up to 1.3 inches in length, to the Tasmanian crayfish, which grows up to eight pounds. Crayfish flourish in waters 55 to 60 degrees F. They shed their exoskeletons in proportion to their rate of growth, as often as three or four times a year. The average life expectancy for a crawdad is about three years, but the "granddaddies" may live to be seven or eight.

    General Meringue Tips
    • Although egg white does not readily support bacterial growth – especially when a great deal of sugar is present, it is possible for Salmonella to be in either the white or yolk of an egg. Many meringue-based desserts require refrigeration to maintain their character, a safety factor, and these dishes may be considered low risk for healthy people. However, for full safety, it’s best to cook both yolks and whites in all recipes.
You can use a method similar to that used for Seven-Minute Frosting to update old recipes calling for raw or very lightly cooked egg whites or meringues, such as Royal Icing, mousses, chiffon pies, sweet soufflés and ice box cakes and for Baked Alaska and similar dishes that are only very briefly baked. Use this method with any number of egg whites. To cook egg whites: In heavy saucepan, top of double boiler or metal bowl placed over water in a saucepan, stir together the egg whites and sugar from the recipe (at least 2 tablespoons per white)

C++ Financial Algoritms (Financial Numerical Recipes)
In finance, there are areas where formulas tend to get involved. Sometimes it may be easier to follow an exact computer routine. I have made some C++ subroutines that implements common algoritms in finance. Typical examples are option/derivatives pricing, term structure calculations, mean variance analysis. These routines are presented together with a good deal of explanations and examples of use, but it is by no means a complete "book" with all the answers and explanations. I'm hoping to turn it into a book, but even in its incomplete state is should provide a good deal of useful algorithms for people working within the field of finance. The manuscript and codes will be added to as I get the time. All the code should conform to the current ANSI C++ standard.
