Firm Adds New Clients, Five to Staff
"This is a very important day for Qorvis," said Michael Petruzzello, managing partner. "We’ve reached a milepost in our strategic plan much earlier than our original growth expectations called for. The fact that Qorvis was able to do it is a testament to the quality team we have assembled and the quality work that we have already performed for our current clients."
To support its client base and help assure continued growth, Qorvis also announced the addition of five new staff members to the firm. They include: Bill Buckley, director, Susan Jayson, director; Toni Aluisi, associate, Scott Warner, associate and Jeff Thompson, marketing and business development specialist.
Bill Buckley joins Qorvis from Shandwick Public Affairs in Washington. Prior to that, Buckley was responsible for business development and client management at the grassroots firm, Direct Impact. Previously, Buckley held a number of public affairs positions at Eastman Kodak Company, including director of public affairs. Prior to that, Buckley designed and built the state government relations division at the Chemical Manufacturers Association.
Susan Jayso n joins Qorvis from the Financial Relations Board in New York City. As an associate and market intelligence executive, she developed investor relations programs and strategies for clients in the technology and biotech industries. Previously, she was a consultant to Fortune 1000 companies and served as a manager in assurance services at Arthur Andersen where she was responsible for business practices and corporate governance issues.

"It will come fast and furious and before you know it, we'll be back," Lt. Col. Aidis Zunde told the paratroopers awaiting their departure to France at Lawson Army Airfield. Zunde, battalion commander of 1st Battalion (Airborne), 507th Infantry, along with 160 Soldiers from his battalion and paratroopers from the Ranger Training Brigade and 11th Infantry Regiment, traveled to Normandy last week, where they participated in the 60th anniversary of the D-Day invasion.
