Callback Framework for C++
About
libsigc++ implements a typesafe callback system for standard C++. It allows you to define signals and to connect those signals to any callback function, either global or a member function, regardless of whether it is static or virtual. It also contains adaptor classes for connection of dissimilar callbacks and has an ease of use unmatched by other C++ callback libraries. Libsigc++ is licensed under the GNU Library General Public License, LGPL
Features
  • Compile time typesafe callbacks (faster than run time checks) Typesafety violations report line number correctly with template names (no tracing template failures into headers) No compiler extensions or meta compilers required Proper handling of dynamic objects and signals (deleted objects will not cause seg faults) Extendable API at any level: signal, slot, connection and trackable Extensions do not require alteration of basic components User definable accumulators A variety of adaptors to change the callback signature: bind, hide, retype, compose and lambda call groups Different compilers and platforms are supported: gcc, MS .NET C++, SUN FORTE C++ (work in progress)

J is a modern, high-level, general-purpose, high-performance programming language. J is portable and runs on Windows, Unix, Mac, and PocketPC handhelds. J runs both as a GUI and in a console (command line).
J can be dowloaded and installed for free (no 'crippled' versions). You must have a J User License (JUL) to program in J. End user applications (runtime apps) built with J that don't provide a J programming interface can be used without a JUL.
Get your J User License for the latest versions for free!
To paraphrase from the J Primer (one of several online J books) J is a very rich language. You could study and use it for years, and still consider yourself a beginner. The good news is that the essence of J is so simple and consistent, that you can quickly learn enough to start solving real and interesting problems.
J is particularly strong in the mathematical, statistical, and logical analysis of arrays of data. It is a powerful tool in building new and better solutions to old problems and even better at finding solutions where the problem is not already well understood.

Welcome to IBM Smalltalk Tutorial
Smalltalk is a popular object-oriented programming language. This tutorial covers object-oriented programming (OOP) with IBM Smalltalk. The material covered here is intended for the programmers with no prior experience with Smalltalk. This tutorial does not provide an exhaustive guide to every feature of the language and its libraries. Instead, it is intended to introduce important ideas and techniques needed by the Smalltalk novice. This means two things: a) it is a general-purpose, Java scripting language; and b) it is a flexible Java scripting tool that intimately supports many popular computing areas, such as JDBC scripting, etc., making their uses much easier, more intuitive and effective. JudoScript is a powerful language and a powerful programming language as well. The power, however, is not because of programming; it is the synergy of all its three feats udoScript is open source under LGPL , one of the loosest open-source public license.

(a source of information about the field of genetic programming and the field of genetic and evolutionary computation)
Genetic programming (GP) is an automated method for creating a working computer program from a high-level problem statement of a problem. Genetic programming starts from a high-level statement of “what needs to be done” and automatically creates a computer program to solve the problem. There are now 36 instances where genetic programming has automatically produced a result that is competitive with human performance , including 15 instances where genetic programming has created an entity that either infringes or duplicates the functionality of a previously patented 20 th -century invention, 6 instances where genetic programming has done the same with respect to a 21 st -centry invention, and 2 instances where genetic programming has created a patentable new invention. Given these results, we say that “Genetic programming now routinely delivers high-return human-competitive machine intelligence ” Click here for our definitions of “human-competitive,”
