Blake was a poet, a painter and an engraver. Chambers writes that Blake's poetry "include some of the purest lyrics in the English language and express his ardent belief in the freedom of the imagination and his hatred of rationalism and materialism
Browning, Elizabeth Barrett
Suffered from a childhood spinal injury and was "doomed to invalidism and seclusion from the world" until she met Robert with whom she eloped, much to the consternation of her father. The Brownings fled to Italy, and there they spent the rest of their days (at least Elizabeth did). The Browning romance was celebrated in Rudolf Besier's The Barretts of Wimpole Street . Her poems run deep with religious feeling, with her love of Italy, and her love of Robert.

Welcome one and all to the official (and original) webring sanctioned by the creator of Black on White - a website dedicated to helping writers both new and old overcome common problems such as so-called "writer's block". This ring has been created to link together the pages of writers and poets who utilize the BoW mailing-list, and decided to share their works with the world.
What is Black on White? Perhaps the best way to answer that question would be to visit BoW for yourself. Basically, BoW is a website that provides writers of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, essays, and even those who scrawl on bathroom walls with valuable information.
Perhaps the most widley-used resource on BoW is the mailing list. This email discussion group allows for writers to share thoughts, ask nagging questions, and even bounce ideas off of other writers.
Another useful tool is the Contract. Here, a writer can fill out an online form complete with project title, start date, and writing schedule. From there, it is sent to the email list for wide-spread support.
Sound like a good idea? Well - it is!

109. Persian Poetry And Iranian Poetry At Best Iran Travel.com
Life and poetry of famous Persian poets, Rumi, Hafez, Khayam, and Saadi.
http://www.bestirantravel.com/culture/poetry/poetry.html
Culture - Poetry
PERSIAN POETRY One of the most noble forms of Persian literature is poetry. Iranians highly value their poets who kept their culture and language alive even during numerous invasions. Persian poetry is as ancient as Avesta (the holy book of Zoroastrians ) where first form of poetry is documented.
Persian poets express their creativity in different forms and styles. The earliest poetry was of two types. One was the ballad and the other was the epic. The ballad later developed into different forms such as lyric, hymn, satire and panegyric. The epic poem is an enlarged ballad. Therefore, the origin of all poetry is in the ballad although no records have remained from these primitive ballads.
Persian songs goes back to 3000 BC to the time of king Jamshid. Xenophon wrote about songs that were sung when Cyrus the Great was still a boy. The halls of the Achaemenian palace at Persepolis echoed with the poetic singing of the tale of the romantic love of Zariadres and Odatis. ( Persian history The history of poetry and song during the time of Parthian rule is unrecorded. However, Sassanian culture cherished poetic art.
