41. Sarracenia, Pitcher Plant, Carnivorous Plants, Native Plants, Wildflowers
Sarracenia or pitcher plants, are carnivorous plants and native plants to the USA, where they are some of the loveliest wildflowers.
http://www.pitcherplant.com/sarracen.html
Sarracenia - North American Pitcher Plants Sarracenia are usually the focus of a hardy carnivorous planting. They are a natural for water's edge or in a bog garden. We recommend mulching where temperatures drop below zero (zone 6-7). North of zone 6 plants must be given protection to prevent sudden, prolonged, deep freezing. Sarracenia need at least six hours of direct sun during spring and summer for best growth. Thorough care and planting information is included with each order. Botanique ships only well established Sarracenia plants that are mature or nearly mature. Our large plants would be too heavy to ship in pots. A typical med.large plant is coming from a 1/2 to 1 gallon container! That size plant is impractical to ship in a pot, so we carefully bare-root the plants and pack them to arrive in excellent shape. When you've got over 60,000 big Sarracenia, you don't need to ship wimpy plants! 100% nursery propagated; we do not sell field-collected plants. Satisfaction GUARANTEED! THE BOG GARDEN SPECIAL This is our most popular item and best value.
