The miniature horse training program for special needs children is the core of HALTER organization. HALTER provides special needs children an opportunity to train, show and love a miniature horse. In addition to the over 50 miniature horses at the HALTER facility, HALTER uses, rabbits, cats, sheep and goats in their pet therapy program. H ALTER also assists at risk teens by providing an opportunity to learn and work with animals.

The Center is an organization of highly skilled professionals dedicated to helping people achieve increased physical ability, improved mental health, and a sense of self-confidence through equine therapy in a safe and enjoyable atmosphere. Rancho Vista works with schools, agencies, and individuals, and serves about 60 clients weekly. We are located between Fort Collins and Wellington, Colorado, on Highway 1. Taking the Lead among therapeutic riding centers, RVETC prepares, presents, and publishes educational materials on equine therapy methods and operations.
