What's New
Wow! 2004 AV's Best Veterinary Hospital!!! We were totally surprised to be notified that we had won the AV's Best veterinary hospital award for 2004. Thank you to all of our loyal clients who voted for us. We will do our best to continue to earn that title and appreciate your support and confidence. Welcome to Aya! Please join us in welcoming our newest staffmember. Aya worked as a veterinary technician in her previous clinic and she is adjusting to her new home in southern California. Please join us in welcoming her to our family. We've done it again We are thrilled to be able to announce that we have reunited another lost furry friend with their family thanks to the numbered Lancaster Pet Clinic Rabies tag that he was wearing. Fortunately, we have been able to inform more than 14 worried "parents" where their wandering four-footed friend had strayed thanks to the database that we keep listing the number and names of the pet wearing our Lancaster Pet Clinic Rabies tag. We are so pleased to have been able to reward those owners that have invested that minimal courtesy fee by returning their lost friend quickly to their arms. Please always remember to have some form of identification on your pet so that he or she can be returned home if you become separated.

The Pet Travel Scheme (PETS) is the system that allows pet animals from certain countries to enter the UK without quarantine as long as they meet the rules. It also means that people in the UK can, having taken their pets to these countries, bring them back without the need for quarantine. The Scheme: *It is against the law in Great Britain to possess certain types of dogs and meeting the requirements of PETS will not change that. PETS was introduced for dogs and cats travelling from certain European countries on 28 February 2000. The Scheme was extended to Cyprus, Malta and certain Long Haul countries and territories on 31 January 2001. Bahrain joined on 1 May 2002. Mainland USA and Canada joined on 11 December 2002.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pet Frogs
I have rarely come across books about frog keeping and even more rarely have I found pet store workers who know what to do with the frogs either. So, I am working on compiling a list of breeds of frogs commonly seen as pets, and whatever useful info I can scrounge up about them.
I will be posting things as fast as I can collect enough useful information about them, or I will provide links to other pages that have useful information about specific breeds as pets.
*Please note, this is for information purposes only! (I've only had personal experience with those animals that can be found in the Meet My Pets page.) In other words, I'm no expert, but here's what I've been able to gather up anyway...

That single compassionate act served as the cornerstone for what was to become America's first and most prestigious pet cemetery. What is Positron Emission Tomography?
Positron emission tomography, also called PET imaging or a PET scan, is a diagnostic examination that involves the acquisition of physiologic images based on the detection of positrons. Positrons are tiny particles emitted from a radioactive substance administered to the patient. The subsequent views of the human body developed by this technique are used to evaluate a variety of diseases. Top
What are some common uses of the procedure?
Top
How should I prepare for the procedure?
PET is usually done on an outpatient basis. Your doctor will give you detailed instructions on how to prepare for your examination. You should wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes. You should not eat for four hours before the scan. You will be encouraged to drink water. Your doctor will instruct you regarding the use of medications before the test. Note: Diabetic patients should ask for any specific diet guidelines to control glucose levels during the day of the test.
