NPAS is a creative institution offering children a huge variety of classes in performance art in Dublin.
There is a wide range of courses on offer; tiny tots can learn singing or funky jazz and older children can try anything from Hip Hop to Musical Theatre. NPAS also cater for parents as they provide evening classes for adults in Tai Chi, Singing, Drama and Street Dance. The school is highly successful in securing auditions and parts for students in film, theatre, T.V. work including commercials, photoshoots and even charity fashion shows! The motto of the NPAS Agency is never to pressure a child into attending an audition if he/she feels uncomfortable. Courses are broken down into three terms with ten classes in each term. In addition to the year courses, the NPAS runs several week-long Summer Schools starting on June 21st and running up until August 13th. There are also two Agency Photoshoots each year and the next one is on April 4th 2004. NPAS will run a show at the Olympia in May. The main aim of the numerous courses NPAS run to increase children's confidence and have fun. NPAS offers a unique opportunity to children to express themselves creatively, make new friends and get some exercise!

First stage of arts school done
Completion of structural work for a performing arts conservatory is greeted with fanfare and optimism.
By DONG-PHUONG NGUYEN, Times Staff Writer Published February 20, 2004 TAMPA - Last year, on a crisp day with blue skies, Pam Iorio attended her first public function as Tampa's mayor: a groundbreaking ceremony for a performing arts school. On Thursday, another crisp day with equally brilliant skies, Iorio returned to celebrate a significant milestone in the project. Work crews paused for an hour Thursday as the mayor and center supporters marked the school's "topping off" - the point at which a building's structural steel is in place. The school, at the northern end of the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, is scheduled to open in the fall. The 45,000-square-foot, four-story school will be called the Dr. Pallavi Patel Performing Arts Conservatory. Patel and her husband, cardiologist and entrepreneur Dr. Kiran Patel, donated $5-million toward the project, which, as of Thursday, was $3.2-million shy of its $30-million goal.

http://www.asl.org/performing_arts.htm
The music division of the performing arts department is committed to providing the best possible musical education. Within this basic goal, the department seeks to broaden musical horizons by teaching specific skills' imparting knowledge and expanding students' range of musical experiences. Through exposure to many kinds of well-crafted music, the department hopes to increase aesthetic sensitivity to all areas of human experience. The department uses group experiences to increase awareness of the needs of others and awareness of the value of cooperative endeavor. The department aims to provide students with the tools necessary to develop their musical skills into a language for communicating with others of various nationalities and cultures. The High School's performing ensembles are open to all qualified students in Grades 9-12. These form the framework for the music program. All ensembles perform in at least three major concerts at school during the year: a winter holiday concert in December, a pops concert in March and a spring concert in June. In addition, students are encouraged to participate in solo and ensemble concerts. One of the special features of the High School music program is the annual spring music tour when ASL's musical ensembles travel and perform. Cities in which our students have performed in the past include Barcelona, Madrid, Rome, Lisbon, Prague and Athens. While participation in the tour is not mandatory, we expect that unless there is a compelling reason, each performer will participate.
