Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts Friday, June 11 a branch of the School of Fine Arts at the University of Connecticut, serves over 65,000 patrons including 6,000 subscribers each year.
Offering more than 40 performances from September through May, Jorgensen hosts professional touring attractions for every taste, ranging from Broadway musicals to symphony orchestras, recitals and chamber concerts, dance, opera, pop, country, jazz, cabaret, multi-cultural and children’s events.
With the ability to change house settings, Jorgensen can create a different environment to suit the nature of each performance. In addition to the full hall, a cozy nightclub atmosphere is created for cabaret events with candlelit tables on the main floor. Food and drinks complete the mood.

Applications for the Summer Theatre Workshop Available
This Summer Arts in Education - Summer Theatre Workshop MCT returns to Bradford with "Hansel & Gretel" The Missoula Children's Theatre will return to Bradford June 21-26 to present "Hansel and Gretel," an original musical adaptation of the Brothers' Grimm age-old tale of a journey, a secret, and a grand adventure. This performance will feature local children who will have the chance to audition and work with Missoula actors during their weeklong residency on the Pitt-Bradford campus. This renowned theatre company continues to impress audiences with their ability to relate to young performers, often giving them their first taste of the arts
Applications for the workshop now available A total of 60 students, plus four assistant directors, will be accepted for this workshop on a first come, first served basis based on postmark dates for the applications. The National Centre for the Performing Arts was gifted to the city of Mumbai and to the country by the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust. The initial grant of Rs 40 lakh was later supplemented by generous donations from the corporate sector. Registered as a society on 8 June 1966, it has also been established as a public trust. The NCPA has completed 37 years of service to the performing and allied arts. Principal aims and objectives To establish, equip and maintain schools, auditoriums, libraries, archives, museums, studios, workshops and other facilities necessary to fulfil these objectives. To disseminate knowledge, promote appreciation, provide training and sponsor or undertake scientific research in these fields with the objective of further development by encouragement of innovation within India and by interaction with the arts of other countries.
The facilities On its plot of about eight acres (approximately 32,000 square metres) reclaimed from the sea by the National Centre at a cost of over Rs.4.5 million, it has built a major complex of structures and facilities that support the arts.
