Gateway to the Trent-Severn Waterway
- Lock 1 in Trenton

Trenton Ward, located in the heart of the City of Quinte West, is your gateway to fun and adventure. Beautiful Trenton Ward is known as the gateway to the Trent-Severn Waterway and it is the ideal spot for the angler, boater or vacationer who just wants to get away from it all. The downtown area is highlighted by two marinas, boat launches, fishing piers and a wide variety of shopping and entertainment experiences. There is always something to do in Trenton Ward. Head to the marina area and watch boats embark on their journey up the Trent-Severn Waterway. You can get a great seat at the Fraser Park Marina, which is also one of the stops along Trenton's stretch of the Waterfront Trail, a beautiful walking/cycling trail that joins Trenton with Hamilton along Lake Ontario. Or take a leisurely stroll through the streets you'll marvel at the architectural beauty of local buildings, dating back to the turn of the 20th century. If fishing is your idea of relaxing, then drop a line in one of the hottest fishing spots in Ontario, the Bay of Quinte. All year 'round, Quinte stands for outstanding walleye fishing! (One annual event in May is our Walleye World Fishing Weekend.) Other highlights in Trenton Ward: our several factory outlet stores; the RCAF Memorial Museum for a closeup look at Canada's Aviation History; and our Summer Festival.

http://tourism.kingstoncanada.com/
You'll be Amazed!
The City of Kingston is renowned as the fresh-water sailing capital of North America and prides itself in being a major port for scenic entertainment cruises of the breathtaking Thousand Islands. Culture and the arts abound, along with fabulous shopping, dining and outdoor recreational experiences. From dawn until dusk and beyond, you'll be amazed at what Kingston has to offer.
Discover Our Heritage
Kingston has been shaped by a powerful sense of geography. The City was built at a watery cross roads, where the southernmost end of the Rideau Canal meets Lake Ontario at the source of the St. Lawrence River and the western gateway to the Thousand Islands. The City's strategic location provided prosperity through shipbuilding and national defense during the 1800s. Kingston was the first capital of the united Upper and Lower Canadas before the National Seat of Government was moved to Ottawa in the 1840s.
From displays of woodworking tools to infamous penitentiary inmates to military and technological advances, each of Kingston's seventeen museums is unique in its contribution to the story of the City and the founding of a nation.
Fort Henry, a majestic 19th Century British Military Fortress, features performances by the famous Fort Henry Guard, complete with canon fire, guns, and the music of the fife and drum. It is one of Kingston's greatest historical treasures. Visitors can also experience "History through Food" at the Barrack's Banquet, featuring authentic feasts from the 1860s and service fit for an Officer of the Queen's Royal Military. Fort Henry proudly presents the spectacular Sunset Ceremonies, complete with fireworks finale, every Wednesday evening throughout July and August.

The Complete Sagas of Icelanders
The people of Iceland have donated sets of The Complete Sagas of Icelanders to the Windsor Public Library. The generous donation was made through the Icelandic National League of North America and comprises five volumes – translated into English - which tell the story of the settlement of Iceland, the trials and conflicts, voyages of discovery and the first European voyages to North America in the year 1000 by Leifur Eiriksson (Leif the Lucky). The Windsor Public Library was one of a number of recipients of the gift across Canada which commemorates the Iceland-Canada Millennium Celebrations of the year 2000. Letter from G. Experience the breathtaking view from Panorama's restaurant patio, atop the Manulife Centre at Bloor and Bay Sts., and change the scene with full pan, tilt and zoom controls.
Please wait for the camera to connect. If all you're seeing is a grey box, is means the number of simultaneous connections has exceeded the limit, and you should try later. After connecting, to gain control of the camera, press the "Start Control" button. The status bar will turn green, and a timer will begin counting down 90 seconds. If someone else has control, the status bar will stay grey and a timer will count down the time remaining until it's your turn. As long as the status bar is green, you are controlling the camera. When you're in control, a pull-down menu will appear below the image, to select pre-set views of some popular landmarks (e.g. CN Tower). This is a good place to start your tour. You can then use the sliders to control the pan, tilt and zoom controls to refine or customize your view. Need traffic information? Check out
