Day Care Programs ... Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program
AIDS Coordination and Information Services
The ACIS program provides a central contact point for persons with Human Immunodeficiency Virus disease and their families to obtain information on a variety of health care and social services needs. The ACIS program coordinates HIV/AIDS- related activities within the Department of Human Services and provides assistance to various DHS divisions. ACIS oversees statewide operation of the HIV/AIDS Case Management Program for the Department of Human Services. Case management is provided through professional care coordinators located in Tulsa, Oklahoma City and Lawton who are trained to assist HIV-infected persons in accessing needed services. Care coordinators provide information and referral, client assessment, advocacy and intervention, access to contract services and follow-up services to assure the client is receiving needed services. These staff are also involved in the development and coordination of community resources to fill gaps and eliminate duplication of services. There are no income or resource restrictions for case management services. HIV infection is the only eligibility criterion and referrals are accepted from any location in the state.

OVERVIEW OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
My personal mission statement: I will strive to be an agent for positive change, and to bring opportunities to all individuals in our quickly-evolving world to advance themselves through education and the exchange of ideas, technology, and techniques. In doing so, I will seek to identify opportunities for institution building, creative problem solving, inclusive teamwork, flexible and needs-responsive training, improved quality programs and courses, and success-centered services. My approach will be people-centered, and I will listen as current and projected goals, needs, and visions are communicated to me. Further, I am committed to developing integrated, low-cost, multi- sectoral strategies for implementing technologically-appropriate solutions for economic, political and social stabilization in “at-risk” institutions, communities, countries or regions. In order to be effective, I will maintain an open mind and be willing to change, adapt, and listen. I realize that each situation is unique, and care must be taken to make sure that I am responding to the true needs of the client, institution, or group.

Sample Proposals ... Join the SchoolGrants Team! L inks - State Agencies You should regularly check your state education agency's website. These agencies frequently publish grant information as well as many other items of interest and assistance to the state's educators.
As always, if you know of links that should be included here, please let me know! (Links on SchoolGrants always open in their own windows so you will always be able to return to your spot on this site.) Links to " Full-text state statutes and legislation on the Internet ": This site links to sites containing full-text state constitutions, statutes (called codes or compiled laws in some states), legislation (bills, amendments and similar documents) and session laws (bills that have become laws). A great way to keep up with forthcoming grant opportunities is to watch your state's current legislative activities. If your state has a State Register, announcements for Requests for Proposal are published on a weekly basis (in Texas). I'd like to thank Nancy Salmon, Arts in Education Associate at the Maine Arts Commission for bringing my attention to the Arts in Education programs offered through many of the state arts councils. Links to each state's art council/commission have now been added to this page of the site.
