Timothy McVeigh (AP) That we can learn a lot about a man from the books and films he chooses is borne out by Timothy McVeigh. One of his favorite films: the 1984 Patrick Swayze epic Red Dawn . It follows a group of small town teens’ conversion to guerilla fighters when a foreign army invades America. Like McVeigh, the teens stock up on survival gear – mainly guns and ammo – in order to defend their country from annihilation. And one of McVeigh’s favorite books: The Turner Diaries written by former American Nazi Party honcho William L. Pierce, under the pen name Andrew Macdonald. Its hero – Earl Turner – responds to gun control by making a truck bomb and blowing up the Washington FBI Building.

Union Soldiers' Cemetery in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
This little cemetery sits high on a hill at the Southeast corner of Northeast 36th Street and Martin Luther King Blvd. in Oklahoma City. It is a peaceful oasis among the bustling activity of the surrounding State of Oklahoma office buildings. Now officially called the Oklahoma Veterans Cemetery, it was started in 1921 as the Union Soldiers' Cemetery.
Taylor Was First Burial
The first burial in the cemetery was Private Joseph Marshall Taylor, a member of the 6th Regimental Tennessee Volunteer Cavalry. He died on March 22, 1921 and was buried two days later with full military honors by fellow members of the Home. Since that time, a total of 56 Civil War veterans and their wives were buried there. Also included are sixteen veterans and wives of the Indian Wars, Spanish-American War and World Wars I and II, Korean War and Viet Nam. Some of these veterans fought the Indians along side General George Armstrong Custer. One made the famous Oklahoma Land Run of 1889. Another veteran served a tour of duty with David L. Payne and the 19th Kansas Cavalry . Two of these veterans served in the Union Navy.
O'Brien Was Last Soldier Burial
The last Civil War soldier, John O'Brien, was buried in February of 1933. The last Civil War era wife was buried in June of 1944. Her name was Margaret A. Bickett, widow of Private Andrew J. Bickett, who was buried in the cemetery in April of 1931.

What Is The Cathedral Of Hope OKC
The Cathedral Of Hope is the world's largest Christian Church with a ministry primarily to gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered people. While we welcome everyone to our church and to the table that Christ has set for us, we recognize that our GLBT community needs a spiritual center to which they may look for guidance, resources, and inspiration. We are a church large enough to change the world, but small enough to care for an individual. Our mission cannot be fulfilled until every person in America who feels excluded from the family of God receives an antidote to that poisonous lie. The Cathedral Of Hope-Oklahoma City was founded in September, 2000 as a satellite church of our main Cathedral in Dallas, Texas. Our mission is to serve as disciples within our city, state, nation and the world, helping others to grow toward wellness as an expression of Christian Caring. For us salvation is a Divine expression of redeeming love for every part of our lives.

The Oklahoma City Traditional Music Association
The OCTMA was founded in 1984 by singer and autoharpist Anita Roesler, and Winfield dulcimer finalist Neil Gaston. And we're stIll going strong almost twenty years later. We have always been interested in learning, teaching, and playing acoustic folk music. At each meeting, we offer workshops in a variety of instruments, for beginners through advanced players. Following the workshops are the Play Arounds, where folks of all skill levels take turns entertaining us on a small stage. Then we have informal jams that may go as late as midnight. Even for a person who doesn't play, OCTMA meetings offer good clean family entertainment. Come join us; you won't be sorry.

Secret Pentagon Report on Oklahoma City BombingEvidence of an Inside Job?
by J. Orlin Grabbe
U.S. government attempts to portray Timothy McVeigh as the "lone bomber" (with assistance from Terry Nichols) in the April 19, 1995, bombing of the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City have completely collapsed with recent revelations of McVeigh's associations with individuals connected to the Aryan Republican Army, as well as with a BATF informant and an agent of German military intelligence. This has led some to conclude that there has been a U.S. government (primarily BATF and FBI) cover-up motivated by the desire to destroy evidence of a "government sting gone bad," much as with the bombing of the World Trade Center in New York City. The secret Pentagon report shows, however, that such a judgment may be too kind to the agencies concerned. The principal damage to the Alfred P. Murrah Building was brought about by explosives placed on five columns of the Murrah Building, according to the Pentagon report, and not by the ANFO bomb in the truck supposedly driven by McVeigh. Thus, until the individuals who placed the explosives on the columns of the Murrah Building are identified, any proposed explanation of how the bombing came about is woefully inadequate. The existence of demolition charges placed on some columns at the third-floor level of the Murrah Building is strongly suggestive of inside participation by at least some federal employees.

The Oklahoma City office officially opened for business on August 2, 1920. The original office was located on the second floor of the Continental Building at the corner of Second and Broadway. In 1923, the Branch moved to a new building on the corner of Harvey and Third Street, our current office location. In 1958, the property adjacent to the original building was purchased, and the building was expanded to meet the operational demands of the Branch. Today, the Branch serves as a bank for Oklahoma's financial institutions, providing them with numerous financial services. Also, bank examiners housed at the Oklahoma City branch supervise all Oklahoma bank holding companies and their non-bank subsidiaries, and state-chartered banks that are members of the Federal Reserve System.
