Worker Protection Standard grant opportunity
6/8 - Region 8 is requesting proposals for pesticide stewardship projects in the state of Colorado. Projects that support education, training, monitoring, demonstrations or studies related to pesticide safety rules, regulations and procedures will be considered. Eligible recipients include state agencies, Tribes, local governments, universities, and non-profit organizations. EPA has scheduled two conference calls to provide opportunities for interested parties to ask questions about the grant process. Proposals are due July 19

5/26 - Here in the West, enoying the summer sunshine can lead to a whole lot of exposure to dangerous UV rays. This is especially true at high altitudes where the thin atmosphere offers less protection. To help you protect your family, EPA is updating the UV Index, a daily forecast of the expected risk of overexposure to the sun, to be consistent with international guidelines developed by the World Health Organization.
