Western Carolina University is also a selective paper depository, and Appalachian State University is a complete microfiche depository. North Carolina publications are classified according to a system that is similar to the one used for U.S. publications. North Carolina State documents received after mid-1992 are listed in the library catalog. Some documents received before 1992 may be listed only in the North Carolina Documents shelf-list catalog located in the government documents collection. The Checklist of Official North Carolina State Publications , call number F20 207:C51, is useful for locating North Carolina documents not found in the online catalog.
