WOW! This is a book that is easy to read and gives you useful ideas and lessons to bring back to your room right away. The authors message and ideas are expressed in an easy to read and inviting manner... Tony Stead makes you want to read more. He backs all of his examples with specific grade leveled lessons from K-3. Rubrics are included for grading as well as leveled texts to incorporate your writing with the area of reading. I have recommended this book to many people in my district and they have also loved it. As we shift our teaching to a more inquiry based science approach I know I will use this book more. Areas of writing it focuses on: persuasive writing, descriptive writing, instructional writing (directions, recipes, maps), biographies and many more! This book is not to be missed!

Noel's fourth collection of poetry 'The Funeral Game' published by Salmon, 'travels a pathway between two worlds, holding and reconciling Earth and Heaven - Life and Death as one reality. The CWA Dagger Awards
Readers and authors alike often wonder how the CWA Dagger nominees and winners are selected. The following should answer some of those questions, as well as giving a comprehensive list of all the winners since they were instituted. Only British publishers can submit entries for the awards, and the submissions must have been published in the English language in the United Kingdom within a limited period of time. The number of awards, as well as their names, have varied over the years. In part this was due to sponsorship: in the mid 1990s the names of four of the Daggers (Gold, Silver, Non Fiction, and Short Story) were expanded to include that of its sponsor, The Macallan, distillers of one of Britain's top whiskies. Since publishers can submit the same book for all relevant awards, it is theoretically possible for a historical crime thriller by a debuting author to win the Gold, Creasey, Historical and Steel Daggers. This summary was compiled by Adrian Muller , a UK based freelance journalist and events organiser specialising in crime fiction. The Cartier Diamond Dagger

Writing for Profit in Your Spare Time
Writing for Profit and Creating Niche Non-Fiction Bestsellers.
You Can Do It With My Tutorial Even If You've Never Written Anything Before In Your Life! Hi, My Name is Jim Green NEWSFLASH: 11 April 2004 One of my bestsellers "Starting an Internet Business at Home" ranks at No.2 out of 31,956 competing titles on Amazon.com under keywords 'starting an internet business' PLUS under 'starting...at home' the same book ranks No.7 out of 8,010,000 sites on Google! You could enjoy similar success with the help of my tutorial.
The publisher calls with the news that your book is in the Top 10.
It's a wonderful feeling when an extra income idea and your very first attempt at writing for profit pays off big time. It happened to me and it could just as easily happen to you. "Starting Your Own Business" (How-To-Books ISBN 1-85703 -859-2) was listed by The Independent newspaper in its edition of Tuesday 17 July 2001 as one of the Top 10 Business Books world wide. I was delighted of course but especially so because this particular piece of niche non-fiction (first published in 1994) had been around the block many times: eight reprints, currently in its third revised edition and rapidly heading towards a fourth. How could an inexperienced part-time writer's first attempt at writing for profit attain such longevity and achieve corresponding widespread media and reader recognition?
