    About The New Teacher Project
The New Teacher Project is a non-profit consulting firm that partners with school districts, states, universities, and other organizations to enhance their ability to recruit, select, train, and support new teachers. The New Teacher Project addresses one of the central education reform challenges facing our public schools—recruiting and selecting outstanding teachers and creating school environments that maximize their impact on student achievement. The New Teacher Project (TNTP) aims at nothing short of transforming the way teachers are attracted to urban school districts. We are currently seeking Trainers for our NY Urban Teachers program. NY Urban Teachers was established in 2003 to recruit, select, and train teachers certified in shortage subject areas to work in NYC’s hard-to-staff public schools. NY Urban Teachers go through a rigorous selection process and prepare for the classroom by participating in a week-long teacher conference in August.
