With the grant dollars, HRET, a nonprofit arm of the New Jersey Hospital Association, will play a lead role in supporting the Foundation's program, Covering Kids: A National Health Access Initiative for Low-Income, Uninsured Children. It Takes A Village The RWJ grant acknowledges that it will take more than state government and more than HRET research to pull off the goal of reaching every eligible child in the state. While HRET will serve as the lead organization for administering the grant programmatically and financially 27 other groups are also included in the outreach plan. HRET will serve as the hub of this coalition. (see list following) The RWJ Foundation's Covering Kids program is designed to complement existing efforts to enroll children in health plans.
