At the November 6, 2002 State Board Meeting the board revisited the issue of implementation of the student health physical requirements in response to a number of inquiries from the field. In discussing this issue, it was determined that the policy adopted by the State Board is sound, but there have been different interpretations that have led to confusion in implementation of the policy in a few districts. The Board requested that the department review the request received for an Equivalency and Waiver and report its findings at the next scheduled board meeting.
