New Hampshire Technical Institute is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Inc., through its Commission on Institutions of Higher Education. Accreditation of an institution of higher education by the New England Association indicates that it meets or exceeds criteria for the assessment of institutional quality periodically applied through a peer review process. An accredited college or university is one which has available the necessary recources to achieve its stated purposes through appropriate educational programs, is substantially doing so, and gives reasonable evidence that it will continue to do so in the foreseeable future. Institutional integrity is also addressed through accreditation. Accreditation by the New England Association is not partial but applies to the institution as a whole. As such, it is not a guarantee of the quality of every course or program offered, or the competence of individual graduates. Rather, it provides reasonable assurance about the quality of opportunities available to students who attend the institution. Inquiries regarding the accreditation status by the New England Association should be directed to the administrative staff of the college. Individuals may also contact:

Arizona, Delaware, Missouri, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, and South Carolina are getting more attention from the nine Democratic hopefuls now that Iowa and New Hampshire appear to be Dean Country, the Contra Costa Times reports With the front-loaded primary schedule , many of the candidates see victory in one of the February 3, 2004 State races as critical to the future of their campaigns. The second wave of primary elections may be more of an indicator for the general electorate, as those States mirror the general population better than Iowa and New Hampshire. Democrats are especially keen on establishing a beachhead in New Mexico and Arizona because they are battleground states that could hold the key to unseating Bush in 2004. Eleventh hour approaches for New Hampshire board
No compromise in sight
State legislator Bill McCain, vice-chair of the Executive Departments and Administration Committee of the House of Representatives, has announced he will introduce legislation that will place New Hampshire's chiropractic profession under the auspices of the Division of Public Health. Under the plan, chiropractors will continue to be licensed and regulated although no separate board of chiropractic examiners will exist, and the Division of Public Health will be directed to allow graduates of all accredited chiropractic colleges to take the licensing exams. The measure is being written by McCain after chiropractors failed to reach a compromise agreement. "Senator DuPont and I decided it had to be done," he explained, "because we couldn't seem to get the chiropractors to agree on anything. This legislature has just had a stomach full of chiropractors." Refusing to pin the blame on either side of the controversy, McCain stated adamantly, "There has to be some give on both sides. They're all childish as far as I'm concerned." He added that he and Sen. DuPont had attempted to reach an accord with the chiropractic profession both last year and earlier this year. "Both actions were shot down by an 'I don't agree to that' reaction," he stated. "This time, they've basically killed themselves."
