Worshipping the Ground We Walk On
Global Education Associates By Carrie Tomko Will the current sex abuse scandal prompt the Bishops to take a critical look at dissenting groups in the Church who enjoy the privilege of calling themselves Catholic while promoting ideas which are not? One group which falls into that category is Global Education Associates (GEA). While not, strictly speaking, a Catholic organization, more than 150 Catholic congregations of women religious make up a large percentage of its membership through the GEA-Religious Orders Partnership. GEA, founded in 1973 by Gerald and Patricia Mische, is a leading civil society organization working to educate for the emerging global context of human affairs. It has a presence in more than 90 countries and enjoys United Nations NGO status. The organization promotes United Religions Initiative, the Earth Charter, the World Court, and the work of Passionist priest Thomas Berry who is one of their International Advisers. Two of GEA’s affiliates are Genesis Farm, a biodynamic farm run by the Dominican Sisters of Caldwell, New Jersey, and Michaela Farm, also biodynamic, run by the Oldenburg Franciscan sisters. Both farms promote Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) whereby local residents buy shares in the farm and receive in return fruits and vegetables grown on the farm in proportion to their shares. Solstice and Equinox festivals are celebrated on the farm with the shareholders. The May-August 1999 issue of the GEA newsletter

New Age Religion:
The Cult Of Self-Love

November 15, 1998 by: Allan Turner The New Age movement is committed to the inward journey. It is a movement that asserts the deification of the "Self." The so-called enlightened goals of the New Age movement are grounded in Satan's Edenic lie to Eve, "then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil" (Genesis 3:5). Although the self-love, self-confidence, self-potential, self-awareness, self-acceptance, self-image, self-esteem, self-fulfillment, self-development, self-assertion, self- actualization, and other present-day manifestations of prideful arrogance would have been severely condemned in most pulpits thirty years ago, today these words now readily roll off the tongues of modern-day preachers. Robert Schuller, pastor of the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, California, is one of the leading proponents of the self-love gospel. His Sunday morning T.V. service, "Hour of Power," has become the nation's most widely watched religious program. In his new book

Scientologism
A free scientific New Age religion with the best answers and solutions to life.
Including more reasonable definitions of the words scientology and scientologist.
This text is the result of a long journey to resolve the problem and confusion of all that together have been known under the name of Scientology with the introduction of a new word, concept and understanding: Scientologism
The past - a compact history of Scientology Dr.A.Nordenholz was the first to introduce the word Scientology with his book Scientologie (1934). He described it as a "science of knowledge". And in answering to his own question of what knowledge is, he created a small set of Axioms describing knowledge as: Beingness-by-itself as of outside the physical universe. Beingness-by-itself the creator of consciousness. Consciousness the creator of the world. But as he, nor anyone else did not put anything further into this science and did not put it to use, it emerged as a vacuum and collapsed.

New Age Religion
by Dr. Phil Stringer (Florida)
"As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed." (Galatians 1:9)
Every culture is either created by a set of religious beliefs or spawns a set of religious beliefs. For the last 30 years eastern mystic religions have increased in popularity in the United States. Some have taken an American flavor, using Christian terminology with new eastern mystic definitions. Others maintain their oriental trappings. They are often referred to as the "New Age movement." The New Age movement is fast becoming the religion of the "new American culture." EASTERN MYSTIC RELIGIONS Many Americans are curious about the number of eastern religions becoming popular and gaining followers in the United States. Zen Buddhism, Transcendental Meditation, Bahai, Hare Krishna, Sun Myung Moon's Unification Church, the Divine Light Mission and a multitude of smaller movements are attracting thousands of young Americans. These eastern mystical religions are confusing and challenging to many Americans because of their entirely different epistemology (theory of knowledge or understanding). Classical western society is built upon the use of facts, objective truth, and reason. Ideas require rational explanations. To the eastern mystic, knowledge is entirely subjective they cannot expect to put truth into words or expect another to understand their religious experiences. Personal inspirations and inner feelings are the basis for everything, and all truth is individual and relative.

What drew so many people to join the Order of the Solar Temple? Why does the cult have such a hypnotic hold on its members? Bertrand Ouellet, Director of the Centre for Information on New Religions in Quebec, tries to shed some light on the cult and its leaders in this clip. He explains that the Order of the Solar Temple is not a doomsday cult or bible-related sect waiting for the end of the world. Next Printer-friendly page Send this page to a friend Instead, he explains, the group is expecting "the great transformation of the world." He also refutes the stereotype that its members are uneducated, simple-minded and easily manipulated. Previous Did You Know? Concepts Underlying The New Age Culture Shift - From A Christian Perspective
- By Willy Peterson T hese are among the multitudes of concepts that are important in the development of a New Age culture shift. Here is an explanation (or an excuse for such) of some of the post-modernist spin-offs of New Age philosophy. First understand that New Age is far too extensive in a comprehensive undertaking to do it justice in under a few thousand pages. So we are left with crass generalizations. Hopefully we do it adequately so as not to incorrectly characterize any particular facets of the movement. If you are already familiar with the terms, you can save time by glossing over the definitions. I like to think of new agers in two camps; social new agers who simply go along with the drift of social change, and true disciples of "light", the New Age Proper, or students of the "Ageless Wisdom" taught by Alice Bailey. Yes, there are other students of arcana that are not initiates of Baileyism, but they mysteriously agree at a fundamental level, on the compatibility of their common "light." Oftentimes, all that is necessary to sympathize divergent occultists is to simply alter their focus slightly, and voila, it is the same stuff in a different package.

Introduction:
The New Age Movement is in a class by itself. Unlike most formal religions, it has no holy text, central organization, membership, formal clergy, geographic center, dogma, creed, etc. They often use mutually exclusive definitions for some of their terms. The New Age is in fact a free-flowing spiritual movement; a network of believers and practitioners who share somewhat similar beliefs and practices, which they add on to whichever formal religion that they follow. Their book publishers take the place of a central organization; seminars, conventions, books and informal groups replace of sermons and religious services. Quoting John Naisbitt: "In turbulent times, in times of great change, people head for the two extremes: fundamentalism and personal, spiritual experience...With no membership lists or even a coherent philosophy or dogma, it is difficult to define or measure the unorganized New Age movement. But in every major U.S. and European city, thousands who seek insight and personal growth cluster around a metaphysical bookstore, a spiritual teacher, or an education center." The New Age is definitely a heterogeneous movement of individuals; most graft some new age beliefs onto their regular religious affiliation. Recent surveys of US adults indicate that many Americans hold at least some new age beliefs:

New Age: Essential Belief Doctrine History The "New Age" of Aquarius is an Astrology doctrine of the 1980s, proclaiming the human race is at the verge of a "gigantic quantum leap", to realize that every human is God... and when that happens, it will be the "New Age", a glorious time with only one nation on earth, one language, one government, one religion, one monetary system... with only love on earth, the "golden age"!, without hate, violence, wars, crime, racism, and without sickness nor death!... This "utopia" is the greatest menace to Christianity, more than any other cult. .. New age has been catalogued as the AIDS of all heresies. The Essential Belief: The old saying, "God is Dead", is gone; the new theme is "everyone is God. Everyone!. This is the essential belief: All is one, one is God, you are one... that's right, you are God!... You are God!, even if you don't know how to make birds, nor stars, nor the eyes of an insect, nor even a simple leave of a tree... But y o u are God!... you shape your own destiny, you are capable of overcoming all problems; it is the ultimate philosophy of the "Me Generation"... since the God in you makes all decisions, then whatever you decide is right!...

THE COMING NEW WORLD RELIGION Bahá'u'lláh announced to the few remaining followers of the Bab that He was the chosen Manifestation of God for this age. He called upon people to unite; He said that only in one common faith and one order could the world find an enduring peace. He declared that terrible wars would sweep the face of the earth and destroy the institutions and ideas that keep men from their rightful unity. (Basics of Bahai faith tract) The Bahi religion fit perfectly with what Jesus warned of, especially in his Sermon on the Mount. Bahai belive that we need to unite with all the religions of the world to have a world government and peace. The also tecah that Bahá'u'lláh is the second coming of Christ to the earth. (which fulfills Mt.24 where Jesus warne many will say they are Christ ands claim to represent him.)
