Creighton University's Reinert/Alumni Memorial Library Leadership and service come together for library staff, students, and community The Reinert/Alumni Memorial Library at Creighton University At the Reinert/Alumni Memorial Library at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, library director Michael LaCroix leads by example. "Participation in the library community is paramount to the mission of librarianship and the role of libraries in today's increasingly virtual world," said LaCroix. Recently, LaCroix has been appointed to a four-year term on the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) Budget and Finance Committee. He also sits on the American Library Association (ALA) 2004 Conference Program Coordinating Team as the ACRL representative, and is the NEBASE elected representative to the OCLC Members Council. LaCroix has served as director of library services for Creighton since 1995. LaCroix's staff also is involved in the library community, following the leadership and service example of the director: - Sally Gibson, reference/database management librarian has been elected Vice President/President Elect of the ALA New Members Round Table (NMRT), as well as the chair of the Nebraska Library Association NMRT. In 2003, Gibson also presented "The Challenge of Vendor Added Content Linking and User Perceptions" at the Northwest Missouri State University Brick and Click Regional Academic Library Symposium.
