Library of Congress (LC) classification scheme, with the exception of Government Documents and
Library of Congress (LC) subject headings are assigned to library materials, allowing subject access
to these materials. Below is a listing of possible LC subject headings and the corresponding call
numbers:
  • Indians ( E 51 - E 99 ) Indian baskets Iroquois Indians ( E 99 .I7 Indians of North America ( E 77 - E 99 Indian masks Navajo Indians ( E 99.N3 Indians of North America in Literature Indian textile fabrics Pueblo Indians ( E 99 .P9 Indian Art North America ( E 98 .A7 Indian sculpture Shoshoni Indians ( E 99 .S4
Government Documents
Government Documents also has publications concerning the Indians of North America. Unlike the rest of the TTU Library collection, government documents are organized under a different classification scheme called the Superintendent of Documents classification and the call numbers are referred to as SuDoc numbers. SuDoc numbers are easy to identify, because they usually include "/" (slashes) and ":" (colons). This classification scheme does not organize the collection by subject, but instead organizes the collection by government agency. The following call number areas may be of interest to you.

ISBN: 1-84119-593-6 check out website: www.constablerobinson.com T here's a couple nice things about seeing a particular publisher's catalogue. You can anticipate what's coming up and occasionally choose books that might not appear to be anything to do with our remit. We do occasionally steer a recommendation towards particular non-fiction books if they are to help writers with some area of research or provide other such insights. This book tends to fall under these two categories as it shows how the white immigrants to America cheated, connived and murdered to take the land from the Native Americans. Resistance really was futile in a way that would have made the Borg blush with the ways it was done. It is a demonstration of how poor a treatment man can give to man ranging from biological warfare, generously handing out blankets contaminated with smallpox, to outright near-genocide with tribe removals to reservations, despite contractual promises.
