I thought it might be useful to share with you some of the material below based on recent trips to St. Louis [in April and early October]. St. Louis is my home town but I've found out more about these facilities on these trips than when I lived there, at least regarding genealogical research materials.
Happy hunting.

Blunt Announces Scholarships For Missouri's Library Students
posted by :: infoZine Staff :: 04/16/2004 @ 03:12:19 PM :: views Graduate Students, Undergrads Encouraged To Apply for Funds Under Study-Work Plan Jefferson City, Missouri - Missouri Secretary of State Matt Blunt announced today that $50,000 will be awarded by his office to qualified Missourians pursuing graduate and undergraduate degrees as professional librarians. The scholarship program announced by Blunt is now in its second year. Blunt said the Missouri State Library, a division of his office, is now accepting new and renewal applications for the summer and fall 2004 semesters. The application process is addressed below. The Missouri State Library Scholarships will cover tuition and class fees at colleges and universities in Missouri. Scholarship recipients must commit to work in a publicly funded Missouri library upon graduation. The work commitment is one month of full-time Missouri employment in return for each credit hour of academic course work supported by the scholarship. Thus, a student who receives a Missouri State Library Scholarship for a 12-credit hour semester would agree to work in a Missouri library for at least 12 months upon graduation.
