2004 Metronet Annual Meeting
Nearly 50 people braved the construction and heavy traffic to attend the 2004 Metronet Annual Meeting, which was held at the beautiful new library at Metropolitan State University on Thursday. The theme of the event was "What Makes a Library Succeed? Designing for Comfort in a Public Building." Larry Millett, architecture critic and former columnist for the Pioneer Press, was the featured speaker. David Barton (Metro State), Amy Ryan (Minneapolis Public Libraries), John Parker (Bloomington Schools) and Melissa Brechon (Carver County Library) also spoke about their experiences in building and redesigning libraries.
