9th Annual Meeting of the American Telemedicine Association, May 2004
MITAC members presented four oral presentations at the scientific meeting of the ATA. Dr. Cone’s presentation, entitled “Acquisition and Evaluation of Radiography Images by Digital Camera” , was presented at the “Remote Ultrasound and Imaging” session. Mrs. Justis’s presentation, entitled “Palliative Care Telemedicine to Correctional Facilities” , was presented at the “Emerging Clinical Applications” session. Mr. Harnett’s presentation, entitled “Redundant Wireless Communication Technologies for Bioterrorism Surveillance” , was presented at the “Telemedicine in Support of Homeland Security” session. Dr. Panait’s presentation, entitled “Robotic Assistance and Telementoring” , was presented at the “Surgical Training Using Telemedicine” session. Mrs. Justice also gave a presentation in the long course section on "Corrections Telemedicine" entitled "VCUHS and Corrections Telemedicine Program
