Welcome to bluewillow.org!
Lucky Number Three!

Yes, yes, people. The rumors you have heard are true. We are expecting our third child in October! Lola is especially excited and asks at least once a week if the baby can come out yet.
We now have more recent ultrasound pictures. These images are from May 20th. We showed Lola the ultrasound pictures of her and Holden before going, so she was able to recognize certain features of the baby and kept relatively interested during the exam. Holden, it being naptime, was not especially interested.
First things first- No. We did not find out if the baby's a boy or a girl (feel free to take our poll with your guess). The technician we got was great; she really stopped to focus on the baby and its particular behaviors instead of just flying from one shot to the next looking for the needed angles and measurements. This baby is very calm and very cooperative, moving slightly with gentle nudging. It likes to sit tailor-style (how I wish we had a shot of that!). And as you can see by the second image, this baby really and truly was sucking its thumb during the exam. Veterans' gather for a memorial ceremony in Washington Park at 10:30 AM. Present are veterans from most of the conflicts of the 20th century, as are a Boy Scout color guard, a ceremonial firing squad of veterans, the choir from Ottawa High School, and a pair of answering bugles for the playing of "Taps." Many of the assemblage travel to the Hossack Home site for the street sign unveiling. The installation takes place at about noon.
