Angel House will host their 1st Annual 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, June 12th. Registration begins at 8 am and the event kicks-off at 9 am. Location: Riverfront Park, Lansing River Trail. Volunteers are needed for participant registration, water stations, and to direct participants on the course. To volunteer, please call Kelly Walters at 887-9484.

The Beekman Therapeutic Riding Program is seeking 3 to 4 adult volunteers to work with disabled children June 13 to June 18th at a riding camp in Grayling Michigan on the AuSable River. Volunteers will provide 24 hour volunteer supervision for teenage and adults with disabilities. Volunteers will be able to enjoy fishing, go-carts, speed boating, swimming, crafts and nature center along with the campers. We leave from Beekman center on Sunday June 13 and will return Friday June 18 at 12: P.M. Each Chaperone will be paired with 7-8 campers and 1 assistant from the camp. If you want to brighten someone’s life who doesn’t get to do much any other time during the year, this is the most rewarding experience you can be a part of. MCUL Board Gathers in Washington; Elections Held CUcorp and Michigan CU Foundation elections were agenda highlights when the MCUL Board of Directors met June 9 in Washington, D.C. Lawmakers, Aides Share Breakfast with Moon Chapter More than 30 CU leaders shared a morning meal and conversation with three state lawmakers and two federal legislative aides when the Moon Chapter held its Legislative Breakfast May 24. A total of some $2,500 was raised in the “Grand Hotel Raffle” for MCULAF, held during the 2004 MCUL Annual Convention and Exposition May 20-22 in Detroit.
