CURRICULUM RESOURCE CENTER New at the Resource Center... The Computer PlaySpace! The Western Massachusetts Curriculum Resource Center, at the Hampshire Educational Collaborative in Northampton, provides curriculum resources that reflect the standards for Mathematics, Science, and Technology. The Library makes resources available for educators, as well as parents, to borrow and provides a site where groups of teachers can spend time perusing materials. Selected classroom kits, student textbooks, teacher guides, videotapes, and other materials are available. Training for educators is scheduled by appointment. Formal release-time programs for district groups are also available. To arrange a visit contact Jan Folts, 413-586-4900x140, folts@collaborative.org . To arrange training, contact Barbara Lamay, 413-586-4900x142, blamay@collaborative.org The materials in the library were selected based on their appropriate correlation to the NCTM Standards, National Science Education Standards, as well as the Massachusetts Frameworks and the Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System. Most of the materials in the library were developed through programs with NSF grant funding. These same materials are found at CESAME, TERC, and other PALMS regional libraries as well as here at the Western Masschusetts PALMS Curriculum Resource Lending Library. Selected curriculum resources in English Language Arts, Social Science, and Foreign Language are also available at the Center. | |
